I’m a high school teacher and self-taught photographer from Charlottesville, Virginia. I love being outside in any capacity, whether it’s running, hiking, or practicing photography. I enjoy taking photos of the natural beauty in this world, including landscape and wildlife, as well as individuals, families, and events. Chasing the best light is my main passion, as I’m a total geek for a radiant sky. Conveniently, I don’t sleep much, so I often catch the sunrise, which is my favorite time of day. The mountains and the deserts of the American West are my favorite places to photograph landscapes, and I’ll chase wildlife wherever I can. The coldest I’ve ever taken photos in is a frigid 4º right here in central Virginia, and the warmest would be 128º in Death Valley, California. Whenever I have the chance, I travel, occasionally internationally, but often living out of the back of my car like a total dirtbag as I road trip around the country. To date I’ve driven across the country and back seven times, but I’m looking to add to that number! Thanks for visiting.
