Jökulsarlón Sunset
Jökulsarlón Sunset
I'll always remember the story surrounding this shot. During the summer in Iceland, the late sunset and early sunrise meld into a 5-6 hour phantasmagoria of color ending around 3:00 AM. My brother didn't take me literally when I told him I'd be out taking photos all night, so he was extraordinarily pissed when I returned to our camper van at 4:00 AM. In the haze and confusion of a heavy sleep aid and the surprise of being awakened in the early morning hours, he threw my favorite shirt on the ground and tried to urinate on it. When fully awake a few hours later, he remembered nothing of this occurrence. To be fair, he's a pretty austere guy and this was really out of the ordinary for him; he was horrified to learn he had attempted something so uncouth. Bizarre, to say the least. June 2016.
