First light on the Grand Canyon from one of the wildest campsites out there. Sitting 3000 vertical feet directly above the Colorado River, you can see why an ancient people would have held this spot sacred hundreds or even thousands of years ago. The incredible weathering, vivid textures, and the fact that I was 60 miles from the nearest sign of civilization made this feel like a barren alien landscape. June 2017.
