The aptly named Kirkjufell, or Church Mountain, hulks over the peninsula. I only had a few hours at this iconic location, so I was fortunate that the grey, stormy skies opened up for a handful of minutes and allowed the deep greens and blues of Iceland to pop. June 2016.
