6.14.19 - From Navajo land outside of the national park.
6.21.17 - I'm still sifting through photos from last summer's road trip, and I finally got around to editing more from the Grand Canyon. This is the only place in all of Grand Canyon National Park where you can see the Colorado River directly beneath you from the rim. It's 3000 feet straight down.
6.21.17 - This was a spectacular campsite on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. I enjoyed a slow dusk on the rim and a night in solitude without another human for dozens of miles. Seeing those first rays crest the rim of the canyon in the morning and illuminate the Colorado River 3000 feet below me was an unforgettable experience.
6.21.17 - While these jackrabbits are common sights in the desert, I've never seen them in greater size or quantity than at Toroweap. They were absolutely all over my campsite, and some of these guys had to have been the size of massive cats, or small dogs!

6.20.17 - "The city seen from the Queensboro Bridge is always the city seen for the first time, in its first wild promise of all the mystery and the beauty in the world." - F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Great GatsbyWhile I don't share Fitzgerald's affinity for New York City, or cities in general, I feel the same promise whenever I catch sunrise on the Grand Canyon.
In anticipation of an impending road trip, I reprocessed a handful of shots from my last time out.
6.18.12 - These two photos were taken 37 seconds apart. Isn't it amazing what those first few rays above the horizon can do to a landscape?
